Conclusion This study suggests that the adaptive immune system is not required per se to develop pulmonary emphysema in response to chronic CS-exposure pulmonary emphysema, since emphysema can be induced in scid mice pulmonary emphysema, which lack lymphoid follicles as well as functional B- and T-cells.& 160; Outline & 160; Background Abstract Background Methods Results Discussion Conclusion Abbreviations Authors' contributions Acknowledgements References & 160;Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is currently listed as the fifth leading cause of death in the world pulmonary emphysema, and is also an important cause of chronic disability and permanent impairment pulmonary emphysema, representing a major economic and social burden worldwide 1 pulmonary emphysema, 2 . pulmonary emphysema To provide the same amount of oxygen to the blood via the parts of the lung that are still functioning. This need for more air eventually leads to lung overinflation. As the lung overexpands pulmonary emphysema, it gradually enlarges pulmonary emphysema, completely filling the chest cavity and causing a sense of shortness of breath. Because the lung can no longer expand or contract as completely as before pulmonary emphysema, the "stale" air left in the lung is never completely replaced by fresh air. The combination of a larger pulmonary emphysema, less elastic lung and damaged pulmonary emphysema, nonfunctioning tissue means that the air flow out of the lung is much slower pulmonary emphysema, resulting in the feeling of an obstructed airway. Causes Any lung disease that causes the narrowing of the respiratory airways (such as chronic bronchitis or asthma) may contribute to the onset of emphysema pulmonary emphysema, but smoking is the primary cause. In addition to the irreversible damage smoking causes to lung tissue pulmonary emphysema, it causes inflammation of the lungs pulmonary emphysema, which resolves only when smoking is stopped. Reduction surgery (LVRS) can improve the quality of life for carefully selected patients. It can be done by several different methods, some of which are minimally invasive. The only 'cure' for emphysema is a lung transplant, although not many patients are strong enough physically to survive the surgery. The combination of patient's age, oxygen deprivation and the side-effects of the medications used to treat emphysema cause damage to the kidneys, heart and other bodily organs. Transplants also require the patient to take an anti-rejection drug regimen which suppresses immunities and creates new medical issues.
